Each year we spend months traveling the world to find unusual items made by hand and filled with heart and consciousness. People ask us how do you know what to buy. It's a feeling we get as we meet a supplier in the exotic markets of the world--the first time seeing creatively and skillfully made items that will be of interest to you, that's how we know what to get and where to go.

We have bought from over 500 suppliers in 22 countries these last 13 years. We buy mostly from individuals and families, local people who take care and have pride in what they produce in their cottage industries. Our producers create these items with sometimes centuries old local skills and methods, generally in natural and/or local materials, and with styles, motifs and sensibilities in mind for the "Western" taste.

We reach out across the world with this web site. Our sales efforts have been concentrated in selling wholesale on the West Coast of USA from Colorado and Wyoming to California, Oregon and Washington to a variety of independently owned stores. We have been very successful the "old fashioned way" having personally sold to many hundreds of stores. Our customers hand pick their items in person at their stores. This website shows only a small part of our entire line. We have over 30 years of retail, wholesale and importing experience. This is what we were born to do.

We care about our suppliers as we care about our customers-- we see them grow and prosper with our support overseas. We acknowledge with gratitude the countless number of people involved in the full cycle, from sometimes growing materials, to producing an item, to finished items in nourished hands half way around the world. We touch just a few of these amazing people in our travels. These products include the inspiration and efforts of all previous generations, our ancestors. And yet with all the differences and time, we find people the same everywhere, and wonderfully unique, too.
