| Hand Painted Lacquerware Box This little box is made by taking the sap of lacquer tree and painting it layer by layer until it is built up enough into the finished shape. Each layer requires drying time. It is all produced by hand using traditional techniques. Lacquerware has been made since before Christ all over Southeast Asia and China where the tree grows.
